Green Beans Paruppu Usili

 Ingredients  Toor dal - 1/2 cup Green beans - 1/2 kg Red chilli - 5  Fennel seeds - 1/2 teaspoon  Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon  Salt - as needed  Oil - 1 to 2 tablespoons  Seasoning - mustard & Urad dal, fennel seeds(a pinch of each) Instructions  First soak toor dal for two hours. After two hours chop green beans then take a non stick pan. Add oil once it’s heated add mustard and Urad dal, fennel seeds as seasoning then add chopped green beans. Sauté well for ten minutes on medium flame. We can close the pan with lid for few more minutes to cook beans well. Meanwhile drain water from soaked toor dal and do pat dry the dal. Add it to mixie, grind as a coarse with fennel seeds, cumin and red chilies. Add this paste to cooked green beans. Add half salt before adding toor dal mix. Mix well with green beans. Stir fry for few minutes continuously. You can see the dal mixture getting color change once it’s cooked. It takes five to ten minutes. At that time add salt if needed.  Tasty side-
