Beetroot Gravy for Chapathi

 Beetroot      - 1 Medium or big one 

Onion           - 1 Medium 

Tomato         - 1 Medium or big

Green chilies  - 2 or 3

Channa flour.  - 1 tablespoon

Curry leaves    - few

Salt                   - as needed 

Oil                    - one tablespoon

Seasoning         - Mustard, Urad dal, whole black pepper &

                             Fennel seeds, channa dal

Instructions

Chop onion and beetroot, tomato finely. Slit the green chillies. 

Take a pan add one tablespoon oil add seasoning when it splatter add onion and green chilies. When it gets transparent add chopped beetroots. Sauté for at least five minutes then add chopped tomatoes. Sauté till it get mushy after that add one cup of water. Let them cook well. Once it cooked well add salt. Take a small bowl and  channa flour. Mix it well in water. Add this channa flour mix to gravy. Immediately mix well with utensil 🥄. If the gravy looks thick add water for getting dilute. Tasty gravy is ready for chappathi.  It goes well with chappathi. 

Note. We can make a beetroot soup with same ingredients. Use corn flour instead of channa flour.

 Small onion and small tomato is enough for soup.  One green chili is good enough for soup. Add a bit of black pepper powder & cumin powder.

Seasoning for soup - use whole black pepper and fennel seeds if you wish. Add more water for soup. Definitely it should be a good tasty and healthy soup.
